Ashley Grech joins as COO
Jamie Sutton joins as GM of New Markets
We are excited to share that we’ve expanded our executive leadership with two commerce veterans who bring deep experience and perspective to the company.
Ashley Grech joins us as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing our merchant and partner-facing teams as we streamline our merchant experience across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, Onboarding, Solutions, and Tech Support. She’ll also play an integral role in expanding our reach to new customer segments and markets, and sharing our merchant voice with our product teams. She brings to Recharge a lifelong passion for empowering brands to build meaningful customer relationships and helping businesses focus on what they love to do by alleviating them of administrative and operational tedium.
She joins us from Square, Inc (now Block) where she was Global Head of Sales, overseeing direct selling to SMB, MM, and Enterprise customers across all products and all countries in the Square footprint. Over the course of 4.5 years, she partnered with the product teams to craft and launch products, grow new markets, expand customer share of wallet, and increase the visibility of Square in the market.
Jamie Sutton joins Recharge as General Manager of New Markets. An industry veteran and early pioneer in the ecommerce space, he boasts nearly 20 years of experience, bridging the gap between technology, brands, and customers.
Jamie joined Shopify in 2011 as one of the company’s first 90 employees after building a digital ecommerce agency of his own. While at Shopify, Jamie held a pivotal role co-founding Shopify Plus with the company’s leadership. He spent 6 years at the helm of Shopify Plus, influencing and building initial team structures to create one of the most vibrant ecommerce ecosystems in the market today. Most recently, Jamie was the GM of Omnisend, an email marketing and SMS platform working with tens of thousands of ecommerce brands. Jamie also applies his extensive knowledge of and experience in ecommerce as an investor and advisor to many of the industry’s leading technologies.
Ashley and Jamie join as core leaders who will continue to push forward our merchant-first mission as we focus on empowering our merchants through recurring commerce and bolstering our merchants’ retention strategies.
We feel fortunate to have Ashley and Jamie in our corner as we continue to grow both in scale and in the ways we can best serve our merchants and their customers.
